We celebrate the commissioning of a 24.8-megawatt solar farm in #Saxony! ☀️🥳

In #Boxberg, Saxony (Germany), we have completed a photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 24.8 megawatts for our client LEAG and its project developer EP New Energies.

The plant was constructed on an area that was formerly used for mining in the Nochten open-cast mine. To design the solar farm specifically to the requirements of the settling soil, we carried out static tests at an early stage. The Boxberg project once again establishes us as an expert in the construction of solar farms on post-mining sites. 👷👷‍♀️

Looking at the drone photo, did you also wonder why three small areas within the solar farm were left out? These are valuable islands of meadow orchards, which we preserved during the construction works. 🍎🌳

The solar farm was officially commissioned on Tuesday in the presence of Saxony's prime minister Michael Kretschmer. 🤩
