We commissioned eight solar power plants with a total capacity of 128 MWp for our customer Low Carbon. Even though 2023 was the wettest year on record in the Netherlands and the massive rainfall in autumn affected the construction works, the smooth cooperation of all parties involved led to success. Our Operations & Maintenance team is now taking over, as BELECTRIC is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the eight projects. We also succeeded in securing a contract for another solar farm with an output of 17 MWp in the Netherlands. To date, we have installed more than 300 MWp of photovoltaic capacity in the country.
“The fact that Low Carbon selected us to construct these exciting projects speaks volumes about us and our project experience. We have been working successfully with our customer since the beginning of 2022 and look forward to expanding the partnership”, explains Dr. Thorsten Blanke, Managing Director at BELECTRIC.
Would you like to know how we managed to conserve the soils during the construction of the solar farms? Then take a look at our press release.
At the end of 2023, we commissioned a 48-megawatt solar farm near Deubach in the Main-Tauber district of Baden-Württemberg (Germany). Not far from the solar plant is a children's playground that lacked play equipment. Until recently, the children in and around Deubach who regularly visit the play area, had neither a slide nor a seesaw.
We wanted to change that. That's why we supported the plans of residents to revitalise the playground and the area and enabled the purchase of a slide. On September 3rd, the new play equipment was officially inaugurated together with Dr. Lukas Braun (mayor of Lauda-Königshofen) and lots of children.
We hope that many children and families will enjoy the new slide from now on! Perhaps it will also remind some of them of our large-scale photovoltaic project, with which we have also invested in the region around Deubach. ☀️💪
On September 2nd, we welcomed five new trainees to #teambelectric. Their apprenticeship started with full energy and anticipation at an outdoor #teamtraining. During the event, the #trainees got to know each other better and already felt the first successes of their emerging #teamspirit. Now they are starting their careers in their respective departments. 🚀
Whether commercial or technical training: We wish you every success and lots of fun helping to shape the energy transition. 🌱
With 81.7 GW (status 2023), Germany is one of the countries with the highest installed photovoltaic capacity according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
