25 Years as the Official Partner of the Sun: BELECTRIC Celebrates Anniversary & Five Years with Elevion Group

Kolitzheim (Germany) – BELECTRIC, member of Elevion Group, celebrates its 25th anniversary and five years within the Elevion Group. Since BELECTRIC’s beginnings in 2001, the Franconian company has grown into one of Europe’s leading service providers in the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants and battery storage systems.

In 2026, solar energy specialist BELECTRIC looks back on a quarter-century of history. The company’s foundations were laid 25 years ago by Beck Energy GmbH, S&F Umwelttechnik GmbH, and Blitzstrom GmbH, which began operating under the BELECTRIC brand in 2011. In 2012, BELECTRIC became the first company worldwide to achieve the historic milestone of one gigawatt of installed solar capacity.

Since then, one gigawatt has grown to around six. This means that the more than 530 photovoltaic plants built by BELECTRIC worldwide cover the electricity needs of around two million households. Today, BELECTRIC is one of the leading service providers in the development, construction, and operation of solar power plants and battery storage systems in Europe. But it is not just the installed capacity that has grown – BELECTRIC itself has expanded. From a pioneer in Kolitzheim, Franconia (Germany), the company has evolved into an internationally active enterprise with more than 600 employees in nine countries.

Since December 2021, BELECTRIC has been part of the Elevion Group, one of Europe’s leading providers of end-to-end solutions for decarbonisation and energy efficiency. This partnership has strengthened BELECTRIC’s position and accelerated its contribution to the energy transition.
