With 81.7 GW (status 2023), Germany is one of the countries with the highest installed photovoltaic capacity according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Only three other countries are ahead of us. China is the clear leader with 622,5 GW of output, which corresponds to almost 44% of global installed capacity. The Asian giant is followed by the USA (139,2 GW) and Japan (87 GW).
