Meet Cassà 3 – our 3.52 MW agrivoltaic project in Cassà de la Selva, Catalonia, and a double milestone for BELECTRIC, member of @Elevion Group. It’s our first project in Catalonia and our first solar-plus-storage project in Spain.
What makes it special? The project combines 5,850 bifacial solar modules on elevated trackers, leaving around 80% of the land available for farming, with a 1.86 MW / 3.72 MWh battery storage system. Together with the Catalonia-based Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA), we will also study how solar energy generation and agriculture can work side by side. 🌱🔬
Construction kicked off in June 2026, with commissioning planned for Q1/2027. Our team in Spain is bringing this innovative combination of solar power, battery storage, and agriculture to life! 💪
