A solar farm with green fields around is seen from above

Our large-scale project EekerpolderStep by step to the biggest solar farm of the Netherlands

For our customer Novar, we are implementing a PV project with an installed capacity of 189 megawatts in the Dutch province of Groningen. Once completed, more than 300,000 modules will convert sunlight into electricity. An area of 177 hectare, or the equivalent of 249 soccer fields, will produce enough green electricity to meet the annual demand of over 66,600 households.

Along the way, the BELECTRIC project team must overcome a special challenge: to guarantee the solar farm’s stability for its entire service life despite the clay and peat soils, BELECTRIC adjusts the substructure individually to the conditions on site. A V-profile with a triple layer coating is used to protect the structure from aggressive soil conditions..

Construction of our large-scale project has started

The preparatory measures for the construction of the solar farm are already in full swing. 50% of the site fence has already been mounted, and the construction of storage areas and roads is imminent.
