Cassà III is an agrivoltaic solar park with battery storage promoted by PROYECTOS SOLARES IBERIA IV S.L. and developed and constructed by BELECTRIC, part of the Elevion Group. The project is located on 5.85 hectares of dryland agricultural land in the municipality of Cassà de la Selva, Catalonia, Spain.
The facility combines 4,481.57 kW of solar capacity with 3,720 kWh of battery storage. It comprises 5,850 bifacial PV modules mounted on single-axis trackers, installed using direct pile-driven foundations without concrete. The design is intended to preserve approximately 80% of the area suitable for agricultural cultivation.
Cassà III complies with the Catalan Agrivoltaics Technical Instruction (2023) and has received a favourable environmental ruling from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Research & Decommissioning
To support this objective, BELECTRIC will collaborate with the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) in a five-year research programme. A neighbouring plot without solar panels will serve as a control area to determine the impact of the PV modules on crop performance.
At the end of the facility’s operational life, the equipment will be removed and the land will be restored to its original condition.
