In 2023, an average of 1,760 hours of sunshine were measured in Germany. This allowed around 62 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to be produced by solar systems alone, covering approximately 12 per cent of Germany's gross electricity consumption. And thereās more good news: In 2023, renewable energies accounted for more than half of all electricity generated for the first time at 56 per cent.
