Our large-scale project BorrentinStep by step to the completion of our solar farm

For our customer Encavis, we are implementing a PV project with an installed capacity of 114 megawatts near Borrentin in the district Mecklenburgische Seenplatte (Germany). Once completed, almost 200,000 modules will convert sunlight into electricity. An area of 964,600 square metres, or the equivalent of 135 soccer fields, will produce enough green electricity to meet the annual demand of around 35,000 households.

Project does not compete with an agricultural use

The Borrentin solar farm does not compete with agriculture, as it is being built on an area with an average agricultural land grade of 27.26 and thus on an area that would not have a good agricultural yield anyway. Only values above 40 are considered good agricultural land, and values above 60 are considered very good quality.
