- BELECTRIC has been certified in accordance with the new ISO 45001 standard

Kolitzheim, Germany – International solar and battery specialist BELECTRIC is a leader in the field of occupational health and safety: BELECTRIC is one of the first companies in Germany to receive a TÜV Nord certification in accordance with the new ISO 45001 for its occupational health and safety management system which was implemented earlier this year. The new standard replaces the British OHSAS 18001 standard. The main focus of the BELECTRIC occupational health and safety management system is to assess risks; delineate effective protective measures; promote awareness and train employees, and foster continuous improvement with the aim of creating a workplace environment designed to be safer and more secure.

Over the course of the certification audit, which lasted several days, TÜV Nord conducted a thorough investigation of the BELECTRIC management system. Following employee interviews, multiple operational inspections and a review of the documentation, the ISO 45001 certification was granted at the end of October. Going forward, beside annual internal audits TÜV will conduct monitoring audits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the new standard.
